Investing in our future
As a platinum sponsor, we work with DAREarts Foundation to help expose 10,000 children and youth to diverse cultural opportunities and arts education that they might not otherwise get—helping to empower them and unlock their potential.
Relying on the crucial input and output of young leaders across the nation, jack.org has opened up the dialogue on mental health in schools and communities to end the stigma once and for all. By enabling young people to guide the discussion. We proudly support the 165 Jack chapters across Canada who work hard to help ensure our youth can ask for and offer help more freely.
Each year, over 100 trained Jack Talk speakers, a national Jack Summit, and 264 Jack Regional Summits are helping to reduce the youth suicide rate and lift the mental wellbeing of all young Canadians to new heights.
Pathways to Education is helping to make Canada the Graduation Nation with a program proven to lower dropout rates. Working alongside the school system, the Pathways to Education program makes a multi-year commitment to youth and their families. Through a force of volunteers, the program delivers after-school tutoring, mentoring, and financial assistance to overcome the barriers that can stand in the way of education.
The Hospital for Sick Children (SickKids) is Canada’s most research-intensive hospital and the country’s largest centre dedicated to improving children’s health. SickKids leads child health innovation by integrating care, research, and teaching.
Northbridge is committed to supporting SickKids research by funding endowments in support of a Chair in Pediatric Research, a Chair in Inflammatory Bowel Disease, the Fellowship in Leukemia Research, and the new Catalyst Scholar for Healthy Active Kids to combat childhood obesity in Canada.
Tree Canada is a national charitable organization dedicated to the planting and maintenance of urban and rural trees across the country.
As an insurance company, getting our customers back to business after a catastrophe is what we’re all about. Supporting Tree Canada’s Operation ReLeaf allows us to help restore our community green spaces following a disaster. We also support the greening of five schools across Canada every year.
In addition to working with organizations that benefit Canadian youth, we’ve also been long time supporters of the United Way and the Women in Insurance Cancer Crusade (WICC).
Employee Programs
- Donation Matching: Matching our employees’ charitable donations dollar-for-dollar means double the support for the causes that are close to their hearts.
- Volunteer Grants: For every 40 hours our employees donate in volunteer time, we’ll match it with $500 towards their organization of choice.
- Team Volunteer Days: We think being socially responsible is an important part of our job, so we give our teams one day each year to volunteer in their communities.

A lot of time and effort goes into finding the right match. Those on our third-party recruiter vendor list work closely with our internal recruiting staff. As a result, we work with a very small group of third-party recruiters.
Annual Review
Due to the number of solicitations we receive from recruiters, we perform an annual review of the firms on our preferred vendor list. All recruiting contracts are also reviewed annually and renewed where applicable.
If you would like to be considered as a potential future recruiting vendor, please send an email to [email protected]. Please note that this process only qualifies you as a potential future vendor and does not qualify you as an approved vendor.
Vendor Agreement
All vendors must have a signed Northbridge vendor agreement from a member of the Northbridge HR department to receive payment for your placement. The agreement must be dated no later than one year previous to the date of the resume submission.
Northbridge will not pay a fee to an external recruiter that does not have a signed Northbridge vendor agreement form from HR. Any resume submitted to any employee of Northbridge without having a Northbridge vendor agreement in place will be considered property of Northbridge and Northbridge will not be held liable to pay a placement fee.
Payment & Fees
Obtaining a signed vendor agreement from a member of the HR team is the only way you will be paid. Verbal commitments from any other member of the Northbridge staff will not be considered binding terms. Northbridge will not pay a fee to a third-party recruiter that has not coordinated their recruiting activity with the appropriate member of the HR team.
It is the responsibility of all third-party recruiting vendors to know and follow this policy.
